Either we went to far or they are fixing the server ...

either way the server is down. Before it went down a player named: MYIS Admin Crazzzzy joined .... i left to finish mowing and he shut us down ... server and connection ...

This is IndianScout from the BFROE program, I wrote the ROE that you had listed when you kicked me..

Also I'm a My Internet Services Employee..

the server was brought to my attention because of complaints it was running "knife pistol"

so myself and another BFROE admin joined to investigate..

and you decided to ban and kick both of us..

the server has been shut down and you will need to talk with MyIS about this...

also all the players on the server that were participating in the knife pistol were submitted to EACS for action..

hope this explains why the server is down..

Please read the ROE, as it deals with all the rules that pubbers and clan ranked servers need to abide by..

also section 3 is rules that clan ranked servers may modify..

Yep, I did after he said that ... I kicked him since I thought he was impersonating an Admin. Which is something they say can't be done in the EA ROEs. (I had just read them) I really had NO idea what all the rules are for having your own server. I'll be more then happy to speak with them to get the server back up now that I have read the ROEs.

Also, I highly doubt indianscout really IS a MYIS employee ... but whatever

So ... it looks like he is a BFROE (?) guy ... ok ... so then how do we get the server back up?

And can I put anything in the server name? It's pretty much bound to be empty without something like Pitols/knives in the server name.

Are large map sizes ok with smaller amounts of players (concern with only 6 players but wanting to have planes) ...

Is it ok to put Pistol/Knives in the name of the server but not enforce it?

PS. You might have noticed we've only had our server for 2 days ...

clearly we can have that in the name, but in ROE we are not allowed to kick people for using any weapon they wish, i believe. for example, maybe people will read the name, come in a start using a pistol or knife, while someone else is using a tank and so forth. regardless i think the server needs a map rotation, I am suggesting dragon valley, oman, wake, karkand........cant think of any others.

what about euro force? I have that and special forces now, not sure what we can all run for exps/maps

server recommendations...

I run a fairly popular BF2 server..

you can pretty much name your server anything you want..

but a word of warning, when EACS (EA) scans thru the server listings and see's that server name it could and has caused servers and players to get reset or delisted..

FF is recommended to stay on, but not mandantory

TK punish must remain set to auto or on..


servers will take a little time to get established and I know it sucks having an empty server, I went thru that with mine...

I will get your server posted over on totalbf2 and some other forums to see if I can get you some players on it...
