FAG help please

HELP ME !

when on server there r 5-6 ppl playing I can play smoothly, but when server becomes crowded I starts to becom Laggy, it feels like someone streching me back n forward.

please HELP ME in it ! any TWEAK ?


My PC:
P4 1.8Ghz
512DDR RAM
Intel 845 motherboard (no AGP slot)
128 MB DDR PCI Gforce FX 5500 gfx
80GB HDD

I get 9kb's Download & 7kbps Upload speed on ISDN

& I also cant get new Card Cause my Motherboard Don't have AGP slot.

I played on a video card much worse than that and had no lag when I was in NY. a 64mb

try playing at a lowr resolution.

but, it's deefinitely your connection that's the problem.

9k/7k is extremely slow.

May be I should FIND some low Ping servers, I get 300-400ms on UAN, but I play here casue I like this Servers MOD n new Maps.

can any 1 please Tell me any ASIAN COD2 cracked Servers, I'm from India.

I have a crappy geforce 2 ultra 128mb and I seem to be alright...I have DSL in NW Ohio and I seem to get better pings to your server than Chicago servers....Internet traffic can be weird like that

I know epcgaming.com , I already searched there for COD2 servers. Actually I posted there some KOREAN servers which gives me 150ms PING.
But same problem there too. I can play smoothly with 7-8ppl on server, but when server goes Crowded I get LAG 999ms.

makes for a shit ass gaming experience

Hi guys, I'm also having lag sometimes, I noticed my high ping, because of this my bullets dont hit the enemy and the others bullets hit me

My PC:
P4 3Ghz
1 GB DDR RAM

Internet:
DSL
between 700/800 kbps download
90 kbps upload

Got an idea why is this happening?

mi average ping is between 150-200, is when i can "play", but the minimun ping that i got is 100(not very often) and max, goes to 999

150-200ms ping is unplayable in my opinion. The way internet traffic is routed means even a good connection doesn't get the best pings to every server. Not to discourage you from playing here, just saying that you either have to accept that you are going to lag and adjust or go elsewhere...

i think it is your internet connection...700/800 kbps download and 90 kbps upload is not very much, i have te same high ping as you but i dont have any problems with it.. just practise i guess B)

Sometimes when my ping is stable I finish at the first places, but when not my bullets dont hit anyone, well I need to shoot like 2 steps before the player gets there kill him, sometimes is cool, but not when youre facing like 3 or more players it is not at all.

This is an issue with the internet provider TELMEX, in Mexico we don't have many options as far as choosing a company, pretty much that's the main one, so in certain times during the day the ping goes down the poopo shoot, i don't think there's much we can do, i for example can't play before 9:00 pm Pacific time cause i get a 300 ping.

So that's why ur safe and have such a good score Butzie.

Heres a few problems of solving your lags that I have experienced.

1. Your graphics settings, trust me this will MASSIVELY change your game play.

2. Sounds silly but it worked for me, give your computer a clean out, espcially the fans.

3. Close any firewall programs you have running, even Windows Firewall

4. Download a program called lavasoft ad-ware, run it and delete all the shit it finds.

5. Do the same with spy terminator.

6. Registry Mechanic is another good one if you can get hold of it.

7. Close any useless programs that you are running and showing in the bottom right had part of rht start bar... (next to the time)

8. Don't download NOTHING! whilst playing.

9. PRESS CTRL+ALT+DELETE screen grab the window, upload it to photobucket.com and put a link on here I can have a look at the programs that I think you may not need to run.

10. Close all internet explorer's running

11. Avoid using xfire

12. Avoid using Ventrilo

13. Avoid using MSN or Yahoo!

Thanks for that post 4mmo, I tried the most of those, with no luck, i will try again followoing those steps and see what happens , think I need to put my graphics to the lowest or off, and as mero said, I think is mostly an issue with the motherfuckers of telmex company, I also mostly connect at night because at day the bandwith is to low to play
