Ok, I need some real feedback on the COD4 servers.

I have been struggling for a while now to figure out why my COD4 experience has been sucking as of late. First I thought it was my video cards (which it still may be), but now I am starting to think it is a network issue.

I can run the Single Player game just fine, but the Multiplayer is terrible. Lag, stuttering graphics and glitchy game play.

Are any of you experiencing these symptoms on our hardcore server? I know that there are other issues that play into this (High pings), but I wanted to get your guys' feedback.

Have you updated all your drivers, directx, etc?
I had a problem with lag a few weeks ago and updated drivers fixed it..

What kind of lag are you getting (people jumping around, you jumping around, etc)

I have tried all sorts of drivers, etc. It does not matter if I am running on lowest settings possible or maxed out... same issue.

Is this a COD4 Multiplayer only issue? Other Multi's are ok?

I was saying this in others ocassions, when I started to play ( 1 year ago aprox.), Multiplayer was fine, after that, I installed SP3, and begin to get lag more often. I back to SP2 now, and the issues still; I think(with this thread) is not my pc, neither my video card then. My lag persist on MW, I dont know why

    network matter may be..

I have a gforce 6200, and a Celeron D 1.8 MHZ processor. You have more updated your pc, I dont think issues be
    it in hardware

lately i've been getting some SERIOUS lag on MP. its just cod4 though. but i lag like every 3-5 seconds consistently. i shut down all non system necessary processes the other day and it seemed to do alright. but its getting ridiculous. thankfully i have UO and cod2 to go to.

It is weird. My FPS has this weird glitch that it does, where every 3-4 secs the FPS goes from my standard 125 to 90-95. It is constant. It will be fine for a few Frames and then bam, it drops. I set my /com_maxfps to 85 to make sure it isn't a settings issue, and the same thing happens. I get 91 FPS, but consistently every 3-4 frame the FPS drops to 70-75 fps. This is weird. It is almost as if the Video card is either "hicupping" or my network connection is doing something weird. It may be a PSU issue, but I don't know. I do not get this issue in any other MP game, only COD4 and COD5. COD2 is smooth on my end, but I do get some lag as expected on there.

Try setting your max fps to 60 and let us know if it drops... you shouldn't be able to see any visual difference between 60 and anything higher than that.

Have you checked if you have any background progs/services/malware running? Your wife might have caught something when she hopped on your machine to surf her porn. She could also be streaming that stuff while you're cod'ing when it's supposed to be "snuggle" time.

If that's not the case, then it sounds like you're suffering from a syndrome called human aging...trust me, I know.
