First Impressions

    Ok, so I have to say a little about my experiences so far in the beta.

    1. Hit Boxes - Holy Shit, they finally got it right!
    -I have to say it is fun to be able to actually shoot and hit something in a BF game.
    2. Graphics - I have to admit this is one of the prettiest shooters I have seen in a while. The explosions, the vegetation, the shadows. The immersion factor is there.
    3. Sound - I don't know how many times I was like, "Holy Fuck, that bullet just whizzed past my head!" The audio in this game is intense and it definitely adds to the feel of being on a real battlefield.
    4. Snipers - Did I already say it is nice to actually shoot and hit something? The bullet drop in the game is still there, but it now feels like it is doable. After going 16:7 last night as a sniper, I am sold on the class.

    After playing this game for roughly 2 hours total, I am already impressed that this game is coming along very nicely.

    what about the MP any info on that matter ... i mean will dedicaded servers be support , game types ect all comments in this games makes think of buying it

    There is Dedicated servers and UAN "WILL" have a ranked 32 man server on release..

    The game is amazing and will easily live up to its hype :excl: Nice work DICE :grunttop:

    My personal favorite kit is the engineer! I love the Scar-L. I am addicted to the tank with rounds of 3000pts or higher in that thing! Amazing game in general, I have never played a game where I became so involved in my surroundings. Every little thing down to the final details are clear and crisp.

    I've disliked rank systems period. Ever since CoD2, they've just encouraged camping, ____ only servers and rank servers.
    Getting arty after 100 kills is one thing...but 'unlocking' a ppsh equivalent as your pot of gold at the end of a rainbow is something else...

    I can see if customization sucks in the ful release, but its like saying the map choice sucks with the beta...have to see what its like in full release.

    Be nice to see what server side stuff they will allow...

    As for being the same as MW2...I fear innovation in both the movie and the gaming industry is a dead concept. The best we can hope for is that they leave crouch in future iterations, and not implement an auto-aim feature no one will feel left out...

    For those that were wondering what the HBAO (Ambient Occlusion) feature is within the graphics settings.

    nZone / Ambient Occlusion
    Developer Zone / HBAO

    I have always used it in COD5 since it was enabled in NV drivers. But its not really worth the performance hit, especially in a game like BFBC2 that is not quit optimized yet.

    I've had zero problems with performance. I get 40+ FPS in massive firefights on all high. The only lag I've seen is actual server lag, but never anything to do with clientside. I've even heard some people get better performance with HBAO than without.

    Same with DX9 vs DX10, they get better performance on DX10 than DX9...

    There is plenty of stuff to be done for optimization, but then again its only the 4th day of Beta and we've only seen one patch before it hit the weekend.

    I have zero performance issues as well, but whoever told you that they have better performance with HBAO enabled is on crack...

    I'm afraid those abilities died with MW2's release and unfortunately we were never offered that with BF2 aside from sandbox.



    Hell yea you can sit on that hill camp with the tank getting points by killing, kill assist and repairing....shit WIN in my book lmao :D

    YEP. it seems BF2BC2 it's gonna rape IW MW2. I play the beta a few days ago ( sniper class :p ) and it's amazing. I already pre-order this game cuz, worth every coin. greetings and aside a place for me on the server !!!
