So I talked with Bender and it appears my CPU is a little weak for BLOPS. I'm interested in getting a new one and based on the Kotaku article this one seems to be the best one:

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...5-215-_-Product
    $200 - Intel Core i5-750 Lynnfield 2.66GHz 8MB L3 Cache LGA 1156 95W Quad-Core Processor BX80605I5750

Will I need to buy anything else to make my computer get a good stutter free FPS? Can I just slap this new processor in my current setup?

    Here is my current specs:
Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 Conroe 2.66 (overclocked to 2.8 currently)
    GeForce 8800 GTS 640MB
MSI P6N LGA 775 Nvidia nForce 680i SLI ATX Intel MoBo
    Link to MoBo: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...0-133-_-Product
    700W Power Supply
    4MB ram
Antec 900 ATX mid tower case

    Kotaku article:

I'd love to be able to keep my FPS above 60. CXurrently I cap at 63 and hit about 30 during combat.

the i% is a great processor, but you still have to remember that we are all getting lag, due mostly to the people who coded the game so bad. but when they fix the game, this will be very beneficial to a better gaming experience.

If not when ... but I hear you. The point is that my current pc does not meet the min specs (I think)

Adogg I would wait about another month to upgrade some of your components. The Intel i5's are Intel's mainstream procs and its successor is coming right around the corner. Its called Sandy Bridge LGA1155 and it will be released on January 5th (along w/ appropriate boards) and their pricing will be around the same of what the i5's are today.

All of the chips including quad cores are going to be based on a 32nm arch :D

Even if you don't want to go the Sandy Bridge route, older P55 boards and CPU's will drop in price.
    ;)

In the mean time if you purchase another CPU heatsink we can OC your CPU to the 3.2-3.6GHz range (like we talked about the other evening).

Nah .... I think at most I would replace the cpu and mobo. The card and ram seem fine.

I think for now I will get the heatsink and wait for a patch/the january releases.
