im willing to save up a few more bucks to get a new desktop just kinda sucks having to bother giving up or leaving alone something i spent 2100$ on less than a yea ago.
TEST YOUR RAM AND HDD If it's less than a year old it's still under warranty CALL DELL and they'll replace the bad part. I feel like a record (remember records? Big black cd's?) X
haha i will i will. I reinstalled firefox and ventrilo was doing the same thing apparently a reinstall was the perfect fix.
memtest (if its got bad hardwired RAM, you're fucked) then chkdsk c: /p /r from recovery console... that should mark your bad sectors. if you hard drive shows up with anything more than a gig less than you had before, get a new one. I replace laptop HD's all the time. It can be difficult but dell usually puts them in the front or under the keyboard...
i just gave up called dell and told them to replace everything so its shipping out tomorrow. guess i wont be around for a while but hopefully whatever it was, either hd or ram or so on they will work it out. atleast it saves me buying a new computer.
