awesome thx for the quick reply im glad i came here and asked since i dont know crap about those specs, on another note the comp only has a 300w psu, should that be upgraded as well for the card dont want to cause a bottleneck situation

i'd say wait it out... a little... the 9600 Nvidia series are out and under $200 and its jsut like a 8800 but for dx10 support and u could go dual wield on these mofo and enjoy raw power...its said this is more use for ppl with biiig ass moniters lol

I would get a new psu for sure as my just blew out. Mine blew out though because i didn't have a pci-e power supply on it. I would say get at least a 500W and make sure it has a pci-e power supply :)

If you get that video card that fuzion recommended, post a pic on here. That fucker looked huge!!

If your budget is a bit under $200 (based on the card you were asking about in your original post), I'd say you should go for a 8800GT. I saw on ZZF that EVGA's 8800GT is $179 after a $30 rebate.

There are other brands too that are dropping below $200 recently with the release of the 9600s. Yea, like butz said, go with a 8800gt rather than the 9600gt as it still outperforms it for the most part.
