<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (red_moon @ Aug 22 2009, 03:37 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div> you sir. are a biased POS. don't knock what you can't afford. and don't use. im digital media student. premiere is old shit news, final cut is standard. so in sense. this gets me work. screw you. and when i say standard. avid is on its way out too. final cut has the majority of the NLE market. and photoshop originated and is always run best on a mac. yes, photoshop was on a mac first, and pirated first on a mac. im only showing this for the first 3 panels. but i have a PC desktop for games, a Mac for work, and i've used linux for home server, eat it and weep douche bag.
When it comes down to it, Mac are just too expensive. They probably serve their purpose, but why would I spend 2 times the money, for something half as fast, and I can use a PC for EVERYTHING a mac does... Everyone says macs are better for media shit, but yet, nobody can ever tell me why. Maybe a mac makes things a bit easier for me to do videos, and whatnot, but then that brings the question, why would I spend all this time relearning an OS, and how to use Adobe on it, when I could just use a PC? If you grew up on a Mac, I guess you could say the same thing. But... Sure they are pretty, but so is my PC...
to get the same speed as a windows os comp the mac must charge twice as much if not more. linux is the best but hard to use and windows excels in most areas compared to mac
once again your a failure red. take you biased crap elsewhere. im done trying to school a one track minded mentally ill child. don't make a post when you have no idea what your talking about, your information is from people more then or just as biased as you. which also goes for ALL your posts. ________________________________________________________________________________ HP pavillions (NOW) suck ass. don't under any circumstances get one. even at normal usage, the laptops die after about a years use.toshiba satellites have always been the most stable pc laptops around. for general use i recommend those. dell's are pretty stable as well, and since memory is the only thing you can upgrade in laptops anymore. you'll be just dandy. lenovo is the the new name for ibm, so their thinkpad ways are still true, and i've never heard bad things about thinkpads. the first 5 on this list aren't bad.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Butzie @ Aug 23 2009, 10:18 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div> http://store.apple.com/us/browse/home/shop...ACBOOKPRO-INDEX Mac slowest processor here, is 2.26 that costs $1199 http://www.shopping.hp.com/webapp/shopping...ame=G60t_series That's HP, and their 2.6 matched to macs specs, is just over $700 ... Half was exaggerating, but still. Ridiculously expensive... For what? Looks? I'd rather tell my girl to stand naked next to my computer desk, and stick with my PC that does everything a Mac can...
you wouldn't use it for anything more then internet and such. maybe some word processing. but not much. for mobile HD editing... i use my macbook pro. not the most powerful but its dedicated graphics work pretty well. and its run smoothly. no problems. my old laptop ran photoshop alright also, but heavy stuff bogged it the hell down. like panoramas. it was the first time i saw a loading bar for free transforming something.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Butzie @ Aug 24 2009, 02:56 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div> it's more like saying a camaro is faster than a mustang
all you mac people are talking about is software. If you love mac software so much you will probably find a "fixed" version of it on a torrent for editing. or you could simply use a open source program that is probably better in a cheaper faster pc.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Butzie @ Aug 24 2009, 02:56 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div> I was only replying to what you said about the speed and price. You say it's 100x easier on a mac, but I couldn't figure out how to use the garbage. All I'm saying it a PC CAN do anything a Mac can do, cheaper. I don't hate Macs; Just feel they are very overpriced... For what?
<div align='center'><span style="font-family:Century Gothic">I agree on Acer`s are dependable. They are pretty cheap too. They run for about $300-$600. My mom has the Acer mini and it works great.. webcam and all.</span></div>

yeah, i keep thinking about it. but now im getting used to checking who posted by their avatar. so i know drea's... its her. and red's cuz its retarded. and wow butzie. nice way to change your mind on someone. hahaha. and and red. im sure as hell, you have never tried any open source mac equivalent type of software. most open source software. for editing and such sucks BALLS!!! seriously it does. gimp is one of the FEW exceptions. but no.. and i do mean NOT ONE SINGLE video editing, or pro equivalent audio or video editing open source program works as good as logic pro or final cut. which is why if you go to ANY and all editing houses for recording studios or for video editing houses. they run a mac. some still run Linear, thats another story with no OS, and other MAY still run avid after investing too much. but you sir. have no clue. your logic makes me laugh, uncontrollably. not because its funny but because its consistently retarded.
