Hello U.A.N. community! Thanks for having this server for 24 hour COD4, I played lately here and I sadly noted that martyr and GL are allowed. Is just my opinion but if you think about it, martyr doesn't really implies any skill in getting points, I've seen a lot of players getting top positions from massive kills (specially when the server is crowded) only because of martyr, these ruins any attempt of competitive play... About the GL, come on, is really fun to use, but is a beginner weapon, also demands no skill. Just give it a try, I've been playing COD4 several years in hardcore servers, and gladly noted that servers without this perks, (even last stand) have the stronger and more aggressive players (e.g. clanmex.net) , and usually the clan teams that beat any other ones. The gaming experience is getting better and better in servers were the skills could be exploited and pushed to limits, good reflexes good aiming, tactical thinking and effective use of the map space, make better and better players. If everyone would just set the class with martyr and/or GL a lot of explosions and kills but nothing else... ANYONE can kill like that :whistling1: Thanks for reading this. I use to not use marty and the GL but when ya die so many times a map from it it tends to piss a guy off. It has been brought up a few times on vent about dropping them but nothing has changed, so until that day I kill all the fuckers I can with marty and the GL. My theory is if ya cant beat em, beat the shit outta them at there own game.
It also takes skill avoiding the matrydom nades and launchers, try that. BTW im not stopping, too much fun.

LMAO @ bender. I hate the fucking noobtube, I hate martyr but there is nothing that I hate more than fucking last stand. With that said I don't think I would go into a "non clan clan" forums and mention a group of hacks as being skilled players.

I dont use martyr and GL cuz i prefed use bullets, frags & knife , but using this "help" :lol: (talking about martyr) causes that lose your skill (or can make you win??? ). For that i still preferd play COD2 (if only I had time to play it!!!). Greetings. just one more thing: Martyr can be easily avoided.

The only way you can do this on a ranked server is to "enforce" it. That is a pain and the ass and is already tough wit the rules we already try to enforce (i.e., camping and bunnyhopping). I can throw a modded server together if we can get one filled, but unfortunately I believe nobody still wants to play on a modded server.
