Mass Server Update Thread

Equi look one post up.

At 4:31PM EST EA Online is failing again. At the moment it's resetting ranks and randomly disconnecting from their service thus making people disconnect from whatever server they're on.

If you are constantly getting disconnected with a reset rank that is why. It's currently nuking our Nam server populations.

Ok I just got an email back from one of our providers and I should have the pistols only server running as it should be by tomorrow. For whatever reason I was unable to get the config to save on that server with the 82 lines of rules that limited the game-type to pistols/knifes only.

The provider is resolving the issue now and we should have the pistols only server rolling live at some point tomorrow

GameTracker has been failing for the better part of two days now. It's no longer polling stats, graphing traffic and it shows that a server is full when it's not... vise versa. So for some of you it can be hard to tell whats going on with our servers unless you load up BC2.

I can tell you that our (2) Nam servers have been up a running full since early to mid Wednesday:



If GameTracker continues to fail I'll let you know if we need to hop on there and repopulate.

9:51AM EST EA Online is down and or failing again...
If you disconnect from it you will not be allowed to reconnect to EA Online. So if you're idling somewhere stay connected.

Also expect some scheduled downtime tomorrow, EA is taking down the master servers for maintenance (for something relating to stats).

EA Online is semi-failing right now, if you see your rank reset or the lack of your normal weapons that is why.

I guess we can try to get it going again tonight when more people are around.

More details on the R11 patch:

The patch will go live on Wednesday, September 21th 3AM EST. So expect some fail in the time that it takes providers to flip the switch and digital distributors to actually role out the update (i.e Steam). If you update to R11 too soon you wont be able to join a server that has not updated yet.

Haha well the update just came early and just killed the server
