Mass Server Update Thread

Only 1 of our 3 servers is showing in Battlelog right now. So until those other two servers (Metro / Back To Karkand) connect to a different internal EA Blaze node, they're going to be ghost towns...

Server update R15 is being pushed through so expect some fail on all of the servers until it's done.

The server update R15 is a whole bucket of fail and it's causing a lot of server crashes. If you notice with our servers the Metro server is still running on R14 and it hasn't crashed once. The other two servers (Karkand/B2k) are running on R15 and they're constantly crashing.

Our server provider has acknowledged this and they are looking into asking DICE if they can revert servers back to R14.

I also reduced the slot number on one of the servers to see if that helps.

FYI GameTracker has been failing all day, those (2) servers listed as 'offline' on the homepage are not offline.

They're full and kicking

GameTracker is still off/on fail today. Disregard the GT server banners, the servers are still full.

Server Update R16 Inbound:

I'm not entirely sure if this will affect the servers or not. In the past some Battlelog updates only prevented people from joining and other times they completely nuked the servers.

The B2K Maps server has crashed many times today, I will look into it tomorrow morning. The server is experiencing server issues outside the normal BF3 server hassles.

I already put a ticket in.

InterNAP is total titties but no one can be totally flawless a 100% of the time.

PunkBuster is failing globally right now, thus causing mass server disconnects. The servers aren't crashing but they are disconnecting all of the players.

You weren't kicked from the server by an admin but you were booted by PB. No word on when there will be a fix but thank you for your patience.

Server side update R17 is inbound, I just received this message from our provider

We have been experiencing a crazy amount of EA Blaze related issues in the past week (mass player disconnects on the servers, not server crashes but all of the players being disconnected) but I'm going to wait a day or two to get some feedback on R17. We have been benefited greatly in the past with adopting patches early and we have been stung pretty bad by adopting early.

So just give it a day or so and I will give you guys a heads up. If anything I'm glad they didn't wait until February like most speculated.

Shortly after I made the above post, all players were disconnect from all three servers (they were all full at the time).
So I said f*ck it and lets try R17 out. All servers have been updated to R17, lets hope for greener pastures.

Vote Kicking Cheaters/Hackers:</span>

All players can now participate in vote kicking hackers. This will be very useful for those times in the early morning when no members are around to deal with hackers. The vote can be initiated by one player and it takes 25% of the player base on the server at the time to complete the vote.

To vote kick a player (this will also be shown in server) type the following commands in the chat box:

!votekick PlayerName - Puts in a request to initiate a Vote Kick on the specified player (it takes (2) requests to initiate a vote).

!yes - Votes YES to ban/kick the player who has a Vote Ban/Kick in progress on them.
Also, agrees to the suggested name after misspelling a name when trying to Vote Ban or Vote Kick.

<span style="color:#FFA500">!no - Votes NO to ban the player who has a Vote Ban in progress on them.
Also, disagrees to the suggested name after misspelling a name when trying to Vote Ban or Vote Kick.

Server Side R18 Update Inbound!:

Now it looks like we can finally increase the ticket amount again on the servers. Maybe this will also help with many of the random Blaze disconnects that we're experiencing (lulz like right now). I'm going to see if I can get this forced through today.

lots of Blaze related player dumps right now on all servers (not just ours), my only thought is that it's related to DICE rolling out the upcoming update.

Server Side R19 Update:

R19 is here to replace the fubar'd R18 that was never released. If we can get enough guys on, I would like to restart the servers so that we can apply the update. That way we can increase the ticket number on the servers again.

Note: This update does not address the player drops related to Blaze disconnections
