I have been having problems with COD4 in multi-player lately, it stops working in the middle of a match, i get a "iw3mp.exe stopped working and needs to close" I have done some research on the net, and found that a shit load of people have the same problem, some offer weird theories on how the sound card has to see a mic hooked up to fix it and some say its just a problem with the software. Any one have an idea on what i need to do?

Perhaps it might be the same problem as I was having. Go into your "miles" folder and rename "mssmp3.asi" to "mssmp3.asi.bak" and try again. If it doesn't work, just take the .bak off the extension.

    never had that happen
do you have onboard sound or a card? check drivers, and turn down the sound quality some in the game... also make sure you have ingame voice chat off

    here's what to do:

Uninstall COD4 and never play it again. then your problem will be gone and you can focus more on COD2....
