Just picked up the chip. They wanted to charge me $50 more for waiting so long to pick it up but I said no thank you! Got the original price.
Well just got it all installed and it won't boot up. Keeps turning itself off after ~3 seconds. ... off to research.
If you get on TS Adogg via notebook or something I can help you out. The board not posting could be from a number of things and most likely easily fixed.
Got past this issue! Reseated my RAM and it worked. Did a bunch of research and was double checking everything I had done. Realized that I did not correctly install the ram. Now one to the next stuff .... I think it is not seeing one of my SATA cords ....
It looked like it did not see the drive in Sata slot 1 so I just moved the sata cable to a different slot. We'll see if that worked. .... Fixed. Power cable came unpluged from a drive. Now off to BIOS and setup time. EDIT: .... Used defualt BIOS. Went into CMOS and set the date time. Now installing windows 7 - 64 bit. 2 Edit: .... W7 64 bit installed. Now installing 82 updates. Video Card is working ... 3 edit: .... things are moving along. Installed steam, ts, chrome, and constantly checking updates...

Yeah it doesn't matter what SATA ports you plug your drives into as long as they're the Intel controller ones (the black ones).
So I think the heatsink is not working properly .... what should I get for a core temps under the monitoring tab? It lists core 0, core 1, core 2, and core 3 has right around 100C
