Performance Tip#1

    Follow these instructions if you are having performance issues in BF3. This also fixes the issue where your gun disappears. Apparently if your using Windows 7 64 bit, the game installation seems to think you are installing on a 32 bit O/S. This restricts your RAM usage to under 3 gig. This fix opens up the limitation and can also be applied to any .exe file.

    Not a fix for 32bit OS's.

    It's a work around for when the game installer thinks it's installing the game on a 32bit operating system (thus limiting the available amount of RAM) when you're actually installing the game on a 64bit OS ;)

    Aye correct.. For some reason my game wasn't using all the ram it could. I am running 64 bit windows 7. It was a work around that worked for me but usually its for 32 bit O/S
