ground yourself before handling it, and unplug your power supply from the motherboard before removing/installing

as said, ground yourself (just hold your case for a second to dissipate the electricity)

HERE is a guide that will help you if your are unsure of what to do..

turn off power, unplug from outlet completely
    open case
push clips down and out (just unclip em basically..)
remove old ram (carefully, you may want to use it in another computer)
install new ram by lining up exactly where the old was, make sure it goes into the slot straight..
push down with slight pressure to assure it is all the way in (should hear a click)
push clips up and in to reclip
    close case
    turn on power
    profit!

    Thanks for the help guys.

It doesn't get any better than this ---

RAM wha?! If you're not familiar with RAM, think of it like this: If your CPU were a cook, then your hard drive is the refrigerator, and your RAM is the kitchen table. When your CPU starts cooking dinner, it lays out food from your hard drive/refrigerator on your RAM/kitchen table for fast and easy access. If your RAM is too small, you might not have enough space for all the food when the CPU starts cooking a big Thanksgiving dinner. That's when you know you need more RAM.

One more question, does RAM have to be in pairs? can it work on 3 sticks on a 4 slot board?

Some boards require matching pairs...some don't...
