locked and loaded full of 4mmo lemme run your asses down tothe floor! straight out of birmingham uk! may need slight help tryin to set this stuff up... ive installed the maps, that teamspeak thing, and ventrilo... wut else do i need... holla back! all i get is when i type in /connect cod2.uanconnect.com is a screen showing me a picture of a scene and nothing happens Connecting to the server: There are a few different ways to connect to the UAN server. Here's a little bit of explanation. 1) Use the In-game console-This may be the easiest way of connecting. First, run Call of Duty 2 on your computer. To open the console box, press the button on your keyboard to the left of the "1" and above your "Tab" keys. It will have a ` and a ~ on it. You should see a little one-line box drop down from the top of your screen. You then want to type, or copy and paste the following into that box and press the "enter" key: Code: [/b]/connect 66.55.131.126:28960 If it doesn't work, make sure you entered it EXACTLY as I have it above. 2) Add it to your Call of Duty 2 Favorites-Run COD2 on your computer. At the main menu, click "Join Game," and then uptop where it says "Source:" You want to keep clicking that until it says "favorites." Next, near the top-right, click on "add new favorite." A box will open asking you for a name and IP address. Put UAN server for name, 66.55.131.126:28960 for IP, and then click OK. Refresh the list and UAN should show up. 3) Use The All-Seeing Eye (ASE)- this is a free program that you can find by doing a search on Google. If you don't have it, don't worry, this explanation is for those who don't know how to add it to their ASE Favorites folder. Open up ASE, select COD2, and navigate to your "Favorites 1" folder by clicking on it. Do a right click on the blank spot where the server list would normally be and select "New Server..." Select "call of duty 2" from the drop down menu in the window that appears, type "66.55.131.126" (WITHOUT the quotes) into the IP box, then check the little box at the bottom by "Add to Favorites 1" and click "OK." The UAN server has now been added to your Favorites, so you can find it fast! ^ The stuff in bold... when i do that it gives me a connection time out... am i supposed to type in cod2.uanconnect.com in place of it? I've got the all seeing eye to work but im still lost lol
yes, i have to update the ip in that help thread, use the hostname listed on the front page. Can you connect to any cod2 servers?
which mods would i need to get rid off? i wasnt aware that i had to get rid of any.... i know i read up sumwhere that all the ones that start with z should be taken out of the directory so i put it in a new folder on my desktop elmo... no i can not connect to any of the other servers as i keep getting this key code in use message... ive just tried to connect to a server now and it comes to a screen telling me that i have to planet devices at point a or b... says click to continue but it does not seem to continue after going nuts and clicking it rapidly! just exited it and tried to join it again but still keep getting key invalid...
this is as far as i got now... but cos i was arsing about so long i think i got kicked outbefore i had a chance to look at it properly... maybe my ip has been banned or something now?[/img]
dont have a clue... it now tells me that i need to update some punk buster... but when i try to install it it says that it can not update at the start and then it just cancels installing itself :?
ok ive solved that problem so it shud work now cos about 15 mins ago i think sumone just started shootin at me then i had the message to update my punkbuster
