System Freeze/Crash

Not to complain,but I believe I am having issues with punkbuster again... I can play for about 5 minutes and then all of a sudden my system will completely freeze. Igot word from Mudder that I am getting kicked from the server for some reason. Here is the entry from the Log file.

Now that I got an updated PB folder from Cletus...and I opened up the appropriate ports in my router...I am gonna retry this...

UPDATE: Nope still a no go!

How the heck do I do that?

Also, I have Windows firewall off...the only thing that it could be...is my onboard firewall...but I thought I disabled that already. Anybody know how to uninstall the firewall in the newest Nvidia Chipsets? I have been looking all over for how to do this... oh well. Atleast I can play every other game just fine. Damn PB. Do we really need to run this software?

Update #2:

I disabled my Nvidia LAN Adapters in Bios...Restarted Comp. This allowed me to finally get a clean uninstall of all Nvidia Drivers (Including GPUs). I then Downloaded Microsoft's "Add/Remove" Utility found here. I then Hard Removed the Network Access Manager that seemed to be not be uninstalled completely. I did a restart and then restarted again enabling my LAN adapters in Bios. Windows had no residuals of the Nvidia Chipset at all. Which is good. Getting that NAM off my comp was a biatch. I then went ahead and installed the GPU Drivers and SMBus Drivers and the PCI Bridge drivers including the ethernet drivers. I DID NOT INSTALL THE NETWORK ACCESS MANAGER THIS TIME!!! My internet and Drivers all seemed to be installed correctly so I felt satisfied. Now to test it. I played COD2 for about 15 minutes this time and it did the exact thing...ok, My compy now seems to be ruled out. I then connected directly to my DSL Modem bypassing my router completely. No Dice. I played this time for like 25 mins and I was freaking happy that I felt like I had finally figured it out. I was thinking Damn, it was my router all along. NOPE! Bam, Freeze up (and I was owning PILO too...fucker...j/k... ). So, I feel like I have exhausted once again all of my efforts.

Any new ideas?

It just has to be that PB is not gaining complete access to my system to do it's "Job" (I hate PB, if you haven't figured this out yet).

Update #3 (070623):

I have resorted to do a full reinstall of COD2 and still it is crashing my whole system.
My final attempt to get this figured out, will be to buy a Seperate NIC and try to connect through that instead of my gay Nvidia Bridge.

Well, I will keep working on this...we shall see.

I hope that this post helps some of you if you are maybe facing the same issue as me.

I have been on the Dallas server for like 1 hour (3 rounds) all by myself. This is the log from the PB server on that Server and as you can see I was "Communicating" just fine. I am perplexed with this result. Why would I network with the Dallas server just fine and not the St. Louis. The only idea I have is that my rig is having issues with the St. Louis server that is not consistent with the Dallas server. Is there any integrity in my last statement?

Once again, it is not my desire to complain or sound ungrateful, but I am just trying everything I can to get my rig connected to the St. Louis server. I love COD2 and I love UAN even more. I just want to get to the bottom of this. any help would be continually appreciated.

For those of you who want to uninstall the PunkbstrA and/or B Services...run this .exe from evenbalance...

PnkBstrA.exe is normally a legit file. However, it can also cause problems.

Do the following and see if it helps.

Download the following program:

http://www.evenbalance.com/downloads/pbsvc/pbsvc.exe

Open the program above and click the "Uninstall" button. This will remove the PnkBstrA.exe and PnkBstrB.exe service.

Some may need to rmove the registry entries.

Go to START --> RUN .. type regedit

search in these parts

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\Controlset001\Sevices look for PnkBstrA PnkBstrB and PnkBstrK .. just right click on the folder listed on the left and delete.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\Controlset003\Services look for PnkBstrA PnkBstrB and PnkBstrK .. just right click on the folder listed on the left and delete.

Also in C:\windows\system32\drivers is PnkBstrK.sys .. safe to delete.

I have been running it for 10 mins and no ping spikes or Timeouts.

Don't worry about it. I got a freeze up in WOW tonight... So me is a thinking it is something on my side...

I just got off the St. Louis server...and I was getting tremendous lag...or it was just that Destruction dude...he was skipping all over the place... grrrrr....

I get so frustrated with this kind of stuff... Makes me wanna go back to playing single player games like oblivion...

Oh well...no big deal. I am retiring from COD2 for a while I guess. I will still be on here and vent whenever I can.
