i do. xp1der, how can I tell if the onboard video card on my zd7000 is fried, or if it's a backlight/lcd inverter issue? I get mainly a black screen, but also get a lit screen (dark blue), which leads me to believe the backlight is fine, lcd inverter issue? I'm leaning towards a bad video card, which is fused into the MOBO, which means $$$. The video out doesn't work properly either.
Yeah m8, sounds like your mobo got cooked, does your Compaq laptop have a dsub out to a standard monitor? Most do , so give that a rip, if you get picture, you need an LCD, if you don't, you need a mobo. X
