Ubuntu + dmraid + headache = FUZiON

I just got the new Ubuntu 606 today.
I want to dualboot with windoze on RAID0 using dmraid.
Ive got the damn thing installed but every boot freezes on:
Mounting root partition...

Someone here knows the answer!
No one on Ubuntu forums knows wtf to do about this problem, yet there are like 30 people with the same issue.

I spent 6hrs searching for a solution...

I'm sure lots of people on the ubuntu forums know. It's just a matter of keeping the topic hot enough for the "experts" to see it.

What's Dapper have?

That page is old but they put it up while the features were still fresh...

A few major things come to mind:
LiveCD based installer
Lack of dmraid support oob...(the one known bug is related to my problem)

They cleaned up alot of GUI elements, reorganized the menu structure, and prettied up the icons and stuff...

I figured it out, but Im not gonna post the answer because im an asshole...

It turns out that the guide for fakeraid that is plastered everywhere is wrong about certain things they claim are not needed in 6.06...

Now if i could only figure out why sudo authentication fails for every program requiring a password...

I assume you did the install and did it in "advanced mode?"

I have to "su" everything admin related
I can sudo in the terminal but something is broken between the gui and sudo.
At least i think i can sudo.
I know i cant run gui apps like gedit from "su -" (dunno why)

i "manually" installed it:

I installed dmraid,then created partitions.
I mounted them, then installed the very basics.
I chroot to the base and apt-get the gdm and ubuntu default packages.
I conf'd grub and rebooted...

I should have recompiled the kernel but I really didnt feel like sitting through that, and then having to compile a lot of software from scratch later...

Fusion are you really a Trekkie or is this just something for that WEAO fucker?

It was funny the first 30 times ... now It's just annyoing ...
