Vent + CoD2 = lag

when i run Vent and CoD2, and when someone talks/i talk i lag like shit in the game.. i run on a 256kbit/64kbit connection, i pay about 90 bucks for it (internet here is expensive) i think im able to move up to 512/128 connection.. would that help? i mean my connection sucks and if i want a 256 ul speed ill need a 1mbit/256kbit connection which costs about 210 usd.. what should i do? i mean it was fun hearing you all on vent and talking with ya, its way more fun then chat in the game

any suggestions? would a 512/128 connection help?

i never heard of a Vent ping, but when i run both my ping goes up to 999 when someone talks or when i talk.. and then slowly goes down again to 130 or something

when you start vent you can see the ping in that screen i thought

i have the same problems. you can ask anyone on vent, they will tell you my voice lags on their end by 20-30 seconds.

my solution is to turn off xfire, msn, firefox, utorrent, peerguardian, and any other app that might use the net.

also check your router to see if any settings might cause unnessecery packet routing...

then call your ISP and bitch, sometimes thats the only way to get shit fixed...

ask to speak to their supervisor, and when she comes on ask to speak to hers....

well why the hell would you be running torrents and trying to play online games at the same time?

only things im running when playing is msn messenegr, yahoo messenger, and firefox (not downloading) but ill try to shut all of it down in a hour or something and let you know

ok i tested it and i can listen to everyone without lag but when i talk i lag like shit, you guys think i wouldnt lag if i would buy a 512/128 connection? unfortunatly a 256/256 connection isnt possible else i would of got that.. but will it help alot if i get a 128 ul speed?

kr0me my upload speed is 64kbit and download speed is 256kbit (which is a max of 6kbps upload speed and a max of 32kbps download speed)

now my question is if i can use Vent and CoD2 while talking and listening without lag if i would get a 512/128 connection instead of a 256/64 connection

lol i know, well may i ask on what connection you are running? or do you know someone with a real low connection but runs everything good? and what connection he/she has?

damn that sux.. ok ill inform but it might cost me like 300+ a month.. and im not gonna pay that since i dont got that kinda money, i pay myself for my net
