i dont have to touch the micboost at all. mines a directional mic and picks up well. USB by its nature is prone to noise. ive heard of lots of headphone sets that noise is a factor when they are powered by USB. ive got a logitech desktop and it works amazingly. ive also got some nice headphones. cant stand those shitty sony pos.
I had a lot of problems earlier on with TS. Updated drivers and making sure I didnt have 2 audio devices trying to work on my I/O at once, were key. You might be able to do all that from ventrilo setup. OK, my Ventrilo problem. Ubuntu Linux: With all sound properties at maximum..I still have to scream to get my mic to work and I still sound whisper quiet. All I know is to enter alsamixer and turn everything up. any ideas? PS, this is so I can harass you from 'The Rock' on late nights
