Finished installing Windows 7, it's working great! just for $30 hahaha I also bought a back up cd for $13. I was wondering... should I back up the expandedSetup thats sitting on my desktop? also DLMWin7HP64US, setup1.box, seetup2.box, and Win7-HP-Retail-en-us-x64. or can i just delete these files?
Sounds like an upgrade thing. Did you upgrade from Vista or XP? You could use those files to make a bootable .iso... http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/30470...tudent-d-l.html But, if you got a backup CD, then you prolly do not need them.

Instructions are here. Just clean install from that and it's all good. Been running win7 the past 2 days and surprisingly, it's actually well behaved. Haven't felt this good about an ms win product since win95.
