so whats the deal with that private server patch on gameburnworld ... is it real .. any1 try it yet? cus im about to go steal me a serial number from walmarts ... cus i be a broke nigga
The patch is real, however, it circumfenes the whole profile thing, so you won't level up, no unlocks and you prolly cant even use your own name. In short, it's worthless. We still have some hope for a proper fix tho...
But there´s a way around on the profile issue, you can modify some folders and files in the game in order to create a profile, the problem is that I have the instructions in spanish, as my primary language is spanish, so I´ll try my best but can´t assure you that the system route will be accurate: WINDOWS XP 1) Open the folder C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\local configuration\program data\Activision\CoDWaW\players\profiles (that´s a translation of the route, so you pretty much will have to guess it, as i´m not sure of it´s accuracy). You will have to set the folder options to show hidden objects. 2) Delete all folders and files except "ACTIVE" file 3) Create a new folder with the name of the profile you wish to use 4) Open the "ACTIVE" file and delete all of it´s contents, and the write the EXACT same name of the folder you just created (CASING IS IMPORTANT). That should be it WINDOWS VISTA It´s all the same but the route changes to: C:\Users\**********\AppData\Local\Activision\CoDWaW\players\profiles Replace the "********" with the user name you use to log on Windows I´m sure about the Vista route as in this version of windows the routes remain in english regardless of language of the system. Hope this helps, and we can have a UAN server online soon. Thank You P.s. Sorry about any misspelling or things like that, as english is not my primary language
