Since I've noticed vista with sp1 is out now whilst browsing on amazon.co.uk, i was wondering if anyone thinks its better than xp yet, or has any major advantages over xp?

I dunno, I never had any problems with vista although I've heard some nasty stories. In fact I see less blue screens than I saw when running xp

any programs in particular? cause most of the complaints where due to the lack of drivers?
Viruses where never a big issue for me, stay away from *cracks* websites and only open content which you trust. avg is also a good virus scanner which can be downloaded for free, ccleaner is a nice tool to keep your registry clean. When you got a decent pc the difference between running vista and xp shouldnt be noticeable

I've had Vista Home Premium sp1 for about a week now. And I must say that it's no better than XP. I've gotten two blue screens of death so far though. I haven't had any compatibility problems, and most softwares have vista drivers now, so I don't expect any. I do HAVE to plug in my mic to play CoD4, or else the game crashes, which is odd, but no big deal. Also, it has this ReadyBoost feature which lets you use a Flash Drive for additional RAM. I like that feature.
